kiwi spotting tour - Inclusive of an intro briefing/talk on arrival, all
meals, accommodation, local council permit & a guided Kiwi
spotting walk. There are approximately 1200 Little
Spotted Kiwi on Kapiti Island. The opportunity to view
Little Spotted Kiwi in a predator free and natural
environment.
Day tour -

local council permit, DOC permit, return ferry transport & a
guided nature/history walk.
A fantastic
nature & kiwi culture experience with NZ wildlife, birds,
marine life & mammals.

Chorus weekend
(this takes place in Spring) - Inclusive of ferry transport, intro briefing/talk on arrival, all
meals, accommodation, local council permit, guided Kiwi
spotting walk and 1 & ˝ hour guided ‘Dawn Chorus’ walk.
1 hour
guided nature/history walks - Available at Rangatira
and/or the North End. View a range of rare and
endangered New Zealand wildlife and flora. Hear tales
about the famous chief Te Rauparaha, whose escapades
impacted on early New Zealand settlement and history.
Seafood
(Abalone) gathering and preparation for cooking and eating -
Join one of the
island family on a Paua (Abalone) gathering trip. Paua
are considered a delicacy in Māori cuisine...they are
gathered from rocky shores, clinging to rocks under water.
There are several conditions that apply to this tour:
sustainability, legal size of the Paua, cultural
considerations, sea and tidal conditions.
You would need to stay overnight to take part in this tour.
Visit the Seal Colony - Waterborne tour to the Kapiti Island
Seal colony...cruise amongst cavorting seals. In
crystal clear marine sanctuary waters....great scenery and atmosphere.
Weaving weekend - Inclusive of ferry transport, intro briefing/talk on arrival, all
meals, accommodation, local council permit, guided Kiwi
spotting walk and experienced tutors teaching you how to
weave over 2 days. Overnight stay is required.

Hot tub
available for guest use - Great after a day’s roaming
Kapiti Island. Fresh fill salt water @ $60 per
fill (up to 4 bathers- but comfortable for 2). Must be
booked in advance.
