The opportunity to view Little Spotted Kiwi in a predator free and natural environment.

Overnight kiwi spotting tour - Inclusive of an intro briefing/talk on arrival, all meals, accommodation, local council permit & a guided Kiwi spotting walk.  There are approximately 1200 Little Spotted Kiwi on Kapiti Island.  The opportunity to view Little Spotted Kiwi in a predator free and natural environment.

Day tour - Inclusive of an intro briefing/talk on arrival, lunch, local council permit, DOC permit, return ferry transport & a guided nature/history walk.  A fantastic nature & kiwi culture experience with NZ wildlife, birds, marine life & mammals. 

Toutouwai - Nth Island Robin - come and experience a dawn chorus walk.  Hear the amazing bird orchestra as it would have been on the mainland 100 years ago.

Dawn Chorus weekend (this takes place in Spring) - Inclusive of ferry transport, intro briefing/talk on arrival, all meals, accommodation, local council permit, guided Kiwi spotting walk and 1 & ˝ hour guided ‘Dawn Chorus’ walk. 

Enjoy a 1hr guided nature/history walk with one of our experienced and informative guides.

1 hour guided nature/history walks - Available at Rangatira and/or the North End.  View a range of rare and endangered New Zealand wildlife and flora.  Hear tales about the famous chief Te Rauparaha, whose escapades impacted on early New Zealand settlement and history.

Paua shell - abalone - join one of the island family on a paua gathering trip.

Seafood (Abalone) gathering and preparation for cooking and eating - Join one of the island family on a Paua (Abalone) gathering trip.  Paua are considered a delicacy in Māori cuisine...they are gathered from rocky shores, clinging to rocks under water.  There are several conditions that apply to this tour: sustainability, legal size of the Paua, cultural considerations, sea and tidal conditions.  You would need to stay overnight to take part in this tour.

Kekeno - seal - Visit the Seal Colony - Waterborne tour to the Kapiti Island Seal colony....cruise amongst cavorting seals.  In crystal clear marine sanctuary waters.....great scenery and atmospher.

Weaving lesson - book a weaving weekend for your friends & family....learn a traditional Māori art.

Weaving weekend - Inclusive of ferry transport, intro briefing/talk on arrival, all meals, accommodation, local council permit, guided Kiwi spotting walk and experienced tutors teaching you how to weave over 2 days.  Overnight stay is required.  If you are interested in taking part in a weaving weekend, please do not hesitate to contact us - (contact details below).  Start Saturday morning, finish Sunday afternoon.

Hot tub avaialbe for guest use - $60 per fill (up to 4 bathers - but comfortable for 2).  Must be booked in advance.
